The location, right on the divide between the area that is traditionally the haunt of non-conformists and night owls along Langstrasse and then the dignified grandeur of Europaallee, inspired the hotel’s designer to deal with the contrasts between banking and the red light district, between art and capitalism – all of which can be found in the immediate vicinity of Zurich’s main train station. From the upper floors, you have panoramic views – something that can be quite hard to find in Zurich – reaching as far as the Käferberg and the Üetliberg. Zurich Airport is less than 20 minutes away by train from the main station. There are 170 rooms for guests on the first to the seventh floor, separated into five different categories. These comfortable sanctuaries have design elements inspired by themes from the red light district, 19th century townhouses and modern penthouses.
